چکیده
A series of tests were performed in the laboratory and field, 2014-2017, assessing efficacy Trap ‘N’ Kill (TNK) (Springstar® Inc., Woodinville, WA) lethal ovitrap on Aedes albopictus adults immatures. The TNK design is to attract kill adult female mosquitoes as well any larvae that emerge over a claimed 45-day period by utilizing active ingredient dichlorvos. Cage trials demonstrate trap effectively killed wild-caught, (> 80% mortality) for up 4 weeks (28 days). After weeks, ability control declined reaching only 18.8 % mortality week 7. field trial demonstrated similar 4-week maximum effective duration when immature had emerged from eggs present all traps after (6 15.2 ± 2.56 per observed). was also conducted assess reduce mosquito populations ~5-acre area residential neighborhood. No reduction population could be detected with density (5 traps/acre) experimental conditions utilized this trial.

Comparison of Bg-sentinelh Trap and Oviposition Cups for Aedes Aegypti and Aedes Albopictus Surveillance in Jacksonville, Florida, Usa
The BG-SentinelH (BGS) trap and oviposition cups (OCs) have both proven effective in the surveillance of Aedes species. This study aimed to determine which of the 2 traps could best characterize the relative population sizes of Aedes albopictus and Aedes aegypti in an urban section of Jacksonville, FL. Until 1986, Ae. aegypti was considered the dominant container-breeding species in urban north...

متن کاملOviposition site preference of Aedes albopictus in the laboratory.
Several parameters on the oviposition site preference of Aedes albopictus were studied, including color, container type, salinity, and water type. Dark-colored glass jars, especially black, blue, and red ones were preferred over light-colored jars. The black-colored ovitrap with a paper strip performed better than other types of containers. Seasoned tap water had the highest egg count when comp...
متن کاملOviposition Habitat Selection of Dengue Vectors, Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus in Response to Fish Predator.
To understand the effects of fish predator's kairomones on Aedes mosquitoes' oviposition, we established an experiment using gravid Aedes females. Kairomones concentrations were established using Hampala macrolepidota. One individual fish was placed inside containers with varying water levels (1 L, 5 L, and 10 L of water). The fish were kept in the containers for 24 hours and were removed immed...
متن کاملCharacterization of dengue virus in Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus spp. of mosquitoes: A study in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan
Dengue is a vector-borne disease caused by dengue virus. According to the recent report of CDC that one-third population of the world are at high risk with Dengue fever. The prevalence of the dengue hemorrhagic fever was found more in tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world. Aedes mosquitoes was reported as the main cause of transmission of dengue virus.
